What they say
“We had an absolutely brilliant stay at Killiehuntly - the Farmhouse was gorgeous and very thoughtfully designed - "quiet" luxe - Lorraine was a super helpful and friendly host, Duncan a brilliant chef. Aperitifs and quiet evenings reading by the fire were wonderful, dinners were brilliant. The estate itself was beautiful - Really enjoyed the walks. Ticked all boxes for a "disconnected" getaway. We look forward to returning.”
“Outstanding. It will certainly be hard to top this place. Apologies for the late review, we stayed December 2020. Lorraine, our host, made us feel welcome and at home, and Tom the chef, wow! Tom takes time to consider local ingredients, the best produce was on offer and he cooks everything to perfection. His creativity made us feel like we were the tasting judges on masterchef. Due to the current restrictions were had the whole place to ourselves, what an experience. The house is beautifully decorated, the desired scandi flare, with exceptionally expensive furniture! Every room is cosy and inspiring. The outside yurt sauna is a great experience and a must do. We had great fun out on the mountain bikes. Laura & Co toiletries and candles are lush and we have purchase a few of her things since. The Killiehuntly honey is a must buy, I’m still holding on to the last few teaspoons devastated to see it nearing an end. We can’t wait to return and have already booked for a visit this year. Thank you so much.”
“We’d come back for Fiona and Cosmin alone! Killiehuntly is a stunning farmhouse and every room is impeccably decorated and furnished. The surrounding grounds are spectacular, vast and calming. The greenhouse was my favourite spot outside of the house to settle in with a tea and a book. What an absolute gem of a Chef Cosmin is; the food was impeccable and beautifully curated and presented at every meal. I love not having to think about picking from a menu and instead having someone showcase their love for the local ingredients—a joy to watch and to chat through the dishes. Fiona is the type of host that makes you evaluate all others as she raised the bar so high for anyone we’ll meet in the future. She is the perfect balance of knowledgeable, kind, friendly and attentive and she made our afternoons and evenings truly special and extra comfortable. For me personally this place is an experience that you can’t rate on the comfort of a bed or the spaciousness of a room alone as it’s so much more than just that. From the people you encounter and the spaces you settle in to the mouth watering smells from the kitchen and the crackling fire this place is a little nook of all things beautiful for the heart and the soul. A little shout out to Lucy, the most gorgeous and sweetest doggo we got to meet with her trusted companion Grant, the activity manager. And a thanks to Fi for looking after us at breakfast and keeping us caffeinated.”
“We filmed an elopement at Killiehuntly Farmhouse recently with the couple staying in one of the cottages and we were blown away, Killiehuntly has been on our radar for a while as somewhere we wanted to visit so getting the chance to film there was great. The location speaks for itself with some beautiful photo spots easily accessible. The styling of the cottage and little touches were next level, we didn’t have too much interaction with owners or staff but everyone seemed lovely. Looking forward to our next visit.”
“Super stylish interiors and top class food plus casual overall approach makes for a wonderful stay for couples and families alike. We enjoyed the communal breakfasts and dinners and the E-bike trips through the forrest was a highlight. Highly recommended.”
