Hope Valley, Peak District
Wild, Wonderful, Wonderfully Indulgent
Where the Peaks meet pure indulgence, one valley view at a time.
Perched on the hillside of Lose Hill, with sweeping views across the Hope Valley towards Win Hill, Losehill House Hotel & Spa occupies one of the most enviable positions in the entire Peak District — and it knows exactly what to do with it. As the only hotel and spa within the National Park boundary, this independently owned, family-run retreat carries a quiet authority that larger brands simply cannot manufacture. With just 22 bedrooms and suites, the atmosphere is intimate and unhurried, shaped as much by the ancient landscape outside as by the thoughtful hospitality within.

What They Say
“Losehill House really is a cut above. The location just outside of Hope means seclusion and peace but with easy access to village amenities and popular walking routes. The hotel is decorated beautifully and feels very stylish and cosy. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very well-presented. What makes Losehill House shine however is its restaurant and its staff. The food was excellent, and when included within the room price, very reasonably priced for the quality. Every member of staff we met was warm, friendly and very professional. We can’t wait to visit again.”
“A truly magical place. We booked in for a Discovery spa day. From the start to finish it's was amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. We only had the cream tea. That was amazing. We would highly recommend it to family and friends.”
“Attended a wedding here and stayed the weekend. What a superb location and beautiful venue. Every detail is carefully catered to. The rooms were immaculate and facilities were of a very high standard. I had a mobility scooter this weekend and the hotel staff especially Millie managed my needs with patience and kindness. The wedding setting was so romantic and the view is gorgeous. Food was also delicious and to a high standard. Exceptional! Thankyou X”
“I recently visited Losehill Spa using a £175 Luxury Escape voucher that had been gifted to me. On the website, it clearly states that the experience includes three hours of spa use, but I was only given two hours, which was disappointing and felt misleading. I arrived early to enjoy my welcome drink before my treatment. The lady on reception told me to sit in the lounge area, but it was around 10 minutes before anyone spoke to me, and then another 10 minutes before my coffee arrived. I even saw my drink go past me at one point, as the new young staff member was being told how it needed to be served in a full glass with a saucer and spoon, which really isn’t something guests should be overhearing. After waiting all that time, the coffee finally arrived lukewarm. While I was waiting, it was also noticeable that some of the staff seemed more interested in discussing personal matters than attending to guests. I overheard a conversation about someone’s nan being poorly with Alzheimer’s and in hospital, which isn’t something guests should be hearing in what’s meant to be a calm, luxury environment. On a more positive note, lunch was lovely. The food was tasty, beautifully presented, and one of the highlights of the visit. Overall, the spa itself is lovely, but the service and professionalism fell short of expectations, especially given the price of the experience. Better organisation, guest focus, and attention to detail would make a big difference.”
“We absolutely loved our short break at Losehill! The view alone was enough to rate this place highly, but the service we received from check-in to check-out, the exceptional facilities, and the delicious menu made it outstanding. It was such a luxurious experience, it was just difficult to balance time relaxing at the hotel with all the beautiful nature and villages to explore in the area! We hope to come back soon.”
