Hunstanton, Norfolk
Norfolk's Most Seductive Secret
Where the coast exhales, and so do you.
Tucked away on the Norfolk coast with views that stretch out over the sea, Magazine Wood occupies that rare sweet spot between a warm country house B&B and a polished boutique hotel. Just a short drive from the striped cliffs and golden sands of Hunstanton, this award-winning retreat offers just three beautifully appointed rooms — each with its own private entrance and terrace, ensuring a level of seclusion that feels genuinely indulgent rather than merely promised. Breakfast arrives in-room, the minibar is thoughtfully stocked, and plush bathrobes wait in readiness. This is Norfolk at its most quietly luxurious.
The details here are what elevate Magazine Wood above the ordinary. King-size beds dressed for long, unhurried mornings. Premium toiletries. Smart TVs for evenings when the wind picks up outside. And that private terrace — a space entirely your own, where the coastal light does extraordinary things at dusk. It is the kind of place that guests return to, again and again: one reviewer notes this was their eighth visit, which really does say everything.
With rooms from £139 and genuinely compelling seasonal offers — including a three-night stay for just £1 — Magazine Wood represents exceptional value for couples in search of proper privacy and coastal calm. Book before Norfolk's secret gets out entirely.

What They Say
“Had a very relaxing stay here, spacious room with comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean lovely light airy bathroom and a verandah to look out across the fields. Online concierge is brilliant to order your breakfast which is delivered to your room. They have thought of everything to enhance your stay. Loved it”
“A fantastic base to explore North Norfolk. Dog-friendly with luxury for you. Large rooms, a well-appointed bathroom with lots of thought into making it memorable - from a mint at bedtime to refreshed daily biscuits to high quality toiletries. Best of all is the "continental breakfast" - with fresh croissants, bread for toast, yoghurts, fresh fruit and orange juice - which are in your room ready for you to partake when you want it. With a fridge, toaster and kettle, iron, hairdryer, you have all you need. A good flatscreen TV, alarm clock and telephone. Also with wine and crisps (that are chargeable), you really can relax. Best of all are the views - with a full-length balcony that your bed looks out on. It is very dog-friendly, being situated on Peddar's Way offering fabulous walks - in both directions.”
“Me and my partner was gifted this as a night away. We did arrive a little bit later than we planned and got a bit lost in the dark but the host was very quick to answer the phone and direct us in. Quickly showed us to our room which was absolutely beautiful. Facilities are perfect, bathroom was amazing. Bed was very comfortable and firm. Morning views were absolutely stunning and better than expected. Can't wait to book and stay again! Thank you for an amazing stay.”
“Lovely place! Beautifully presented and it was a delight to be able to sit out on the verandah and enjoy the views, which featured local wildlife such as muntjac deer, rabbits and chickens sauntering close by! Magazine Wood had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The generously sized bath was also very much appreciated.”
“Simply superb. Characterful accommodation in stunning surroundings. Great attention to detail, spotlessly clean, and great touches like the all-day breakfast. Outstanding VFM. Thoroughly recommend and hope to return.”
