Where Centuries Meet the Sea
A Norman fortress reborn as Pembrokeshire's most unforgettable retreat.
Perched upon a volcanic outcrop like something conjured from a Welsh legend, Roch Castle commands the Pembrokeshire horizon with the quiet authority of nine centuries of history. Dating back to the 12th century, this meticulously restored Norman fortress has made the extraordinary journey from battlement to boutique, and the result is nothing short of magnificent. Every ancient stone wall and arched window tells a story, while bespoke service and five-star Visit Wales accreditation ensure that the comforts of the modern age are never more than a moment away.

What They Say
“My mother and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of a week-long trip to Wales for a mother-daughter vacation. It was the highlight of our trip, and my only regret is that we didn't have more time here. I honestly was not ready to leave this gorgeous area of Wales and this truly magnificent accommodation. It was quiet, snug and cozy, with panoramic views from the glass-walled rooftop sitting room. It's within easy reach of Solva and St Davids, and Newgale Beach is close and so beautiful. You will not regret staying at this hotel, provided you're up for some stair climbing (my mom is 83 and she handled it like a pro). Thank you for such a great stay!”
“A very special place. Peaceful and cosy with extraordinary views. The honesty bar is a great idea and made it feel just like being at home. Relaxing in the lounge after a short business call in the study. The most amazing shower, and I can honestly say we had the best hotel breakfast ever. We will be back!”
“It was an amazing experience staying at Roch Castle for 2 night and we had it all to ourselves for my partner's special birthday. The staff were so very welcoming and helpful. Look forward to going back with a group of friends and have the castle to ourselves again.”
“We went to visit the castle grounds since it was in the village we were staying. A youngster was very welcoming. She said we could come in the castle and look around in their lounge and enjoy the hot drinks that were on offer. Lovely Panoramic view of Newgale beach and the hills around.”
“Came to Roch castle last night with my wife and we enjoyed a wonderful stay. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who took impeccably good care of us. Decent quality, well designed rooms; stunning architecture; stunning views, and all round great service. Highly recommended! We’ll most definitely be back.”
