What they say
“Came in for dinner - absolutely wonderful pub. We ate well and enjoyed every bite. The dining room was packed, but had such a gorgeous atmosphere. We were served in good time. Staff were really friendly. Honestly, this is what we wish our village locals were like. Stunning, tasteful, cozy spots for food, drinks and conversations. Highly recommended.”
“Decided to go to Anglesey for New Year and picked the Bull as dog friendly, our room was across the courtyard and easy to get to. We booked the new year menu and a lively time was had by all. Breakfast was cooked fresh and all the continental choices were available too. If you join the hotel scheme if you choose not to have the room serviced (2nights +) you can claim a free drink, as it saves resources”
“I booked a last minute trip for New Year’s Eve. The pub is really nice and staff were brilliant but the accommodation wasn’t what the pictures showed it to be. We paid £250 for a room and found that the pictures on the website do not represent the room. The room was in another building which we wasn’t expecting too, along with the room being very substandard. It felt like a very poor premier inn.”
“Just recently been and stayed in the waterheads inn Ambleside had a lovely stay .We always love coming to the bulls head for lunch it's always our go too for our special treat and make a point travelling a 40 mintues drive for the beef brisket Sunday lunch its beautiful the beef just melts in your mouth (nowhere else does it like that around here) but when we got to the bulls head today we saw they don't do beef brisket anymore :( but we thought we would try the top side of beef. Very disappointed, very fatty & tough . We had two desserts. My partner had the baked Alaska. He said it was ok but nothing special. I had the sticky toffee pudding. It was very dry and had hardly any toffee sauce . Unfortunately we came away from the bull today very disappointed with the food. On a positive note the staff were very nice especially Sioned she was lovely. Very friendly and helpful, a real credit to the company . I think she deserves praise and a pay rise. It's not often you get a member of staff who goes above and beyond for the customers . Please bring back the beef brisket . Would love to come back to the food we've had in the past.”
“Never stayed here but eaten many times. Definitely our go-to place for lunch when browsing the shops in Beaumaris. The food and service is always very good. Today we tried Venison burgers off the specials menu. To be honest, I couldn't have said it was venison rather than beef but it was delicious nonetheless. The staff were helpful and friendly as ever but for some reason, the atmosphere wasn't as good as usual. I don't know why. It was busier than usual and we had to wait an hour for a table (we usually walk in without booking). Maybe the staff were tired? It was the Beaumaris winter festival weekend so it had probably been very hectic for them.”
