Langham, Norfolk
Where Norfolk Exhales
Art Nouveau romance meets big-sky freedom on England's most quietly spectacular coastline.
Tucked into the quietly magnificent Norfolk countryside, The Harper in Langham arrives as something of a revelation — a boutique hotel that manages to feel both effortlessly stylish and utterly unpretentious. Art Nouveau flourishes weave through the interiors with a lightness of touch that never tips into fussiness, creating 32 bedrooms that feel like genuine sanctuaries rather than design statements. This is a place, as the hotel itself puts it, where anything goes and nothing's too much trouble — and you believe it the moment you arrive.
Wake to a generous breakfast included as standard, then spend your days surrendering to the rhythms of one of England's most unspoiled corners. The Norfolk coast beckons with its vast skies and salt-sharp air, but The Harper makes a compelling case for simply staying put — reaching for a cocktail, dipping into local Norfolk nibbles, and letting the hours dissolve. For couples seeking a retreat that swaps stuffiness for soul, this is precisely the tonic.
At a mid-range price point that punches well above its weight in atmosphere and charm, The Harper strikes that rare balance: luxuriously laid-back, appealingly real, and just far enough from everywhere to feel like a proper escape. Book the weekend break. Then book the midweek one too.

What They Say
“Had a one night stay here and before 8pm we was already planning on when we could stay again! Had a very warm welcome from a lovely gentleman called Keith who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. All the other staff we spoke to were so helpful and polite. Had dinner in the dog friendly restaurant which tasted absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a large double room and could not fault a thing. It had everything we needed. We were able to control our own heating and air con. The whole place looks stunning and clean. Will definitely be returning”
“Really fantastic couple of days away... I feel on recent trips we'd lost our holiday mojo but the Harper put us back on track. Great pool /spa area, lovely lounge areas for a winter break. Dinner was fantastic, especially Stanley's. Quick drink at the local pub as well - if you come here there's no need to drive out to eat. Very friendly staff, a real personal experience.”
“For a very chilled short stay, this is amazing. We only stayed 1 night during our first visit to the Norfolk coast but came away with a couple of 'best ever's' and really chilled out. Quality staffing, room, and food with an amazing cocktail to get the evening started.”
“3 day stay over Christmas. Food was exceptional. Staff were great, atmosphere brilliant. We loved it and so did the dogs. We are already talking about booking for next Christmas and other guests were saying the same! Thank you Harper hotel for a brilliant Christmas”
“We had the most wonderful mini-moon at The Langham Harper! It was the perfect place to rest, recharge, and treat ourselves after the wedding. The spa treatments were indulgent and relaxing, and the food and wine were absolutely fantastic — every meal was a delight. A special thank you to Keith, who went above and beyond to make everything run so smoothly and effortlessly. His attention to detail and friendly professionalism really made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. We left feeling completely refreshed and pampered and would absolutely recommend The Langham Harper for anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing getaway.”
