Marylebone, London
Above London, Among the Leaves
Where the city skyline meets a canopy of conscious, colourful calm.
Perched above the elegant streets of Marylebone, the Treehouse Hotel is precisely the kind of place that makes you fall in love with London all over again. Its eco-playful spirit is evident from the moment you arrive — cascading greenery softens every corner, hand-knotted kilims bring warmth and wanderlust to the interiors, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame some of the most breathtaking rooftop views the city has to offer. It is whimsical without being frivolous, and considered without feeling preachy.
At its heart, the Treehouse is a property with genuine soul. Sustainability is woven into the fabric of the experience rather than bolted on as an afterthought, making it a natural choice for eco-conscious travellers who refuse to sacrifice style for conscience. Families will find its playful energy utterly infectious, while couples seeking a city escape will appreciate the sense of being lifted — quite literally — above the noise and pace of urban life below.
For a mid-range London stay that punches well above its price point in personality and purpose, the Treehouse delivers something increasingly rare: a hotel that feels alive. Whether you are sipping something botanical with the skyline as your backdrop or sinking into the richly textured interiors at day's end, this is London seen through a greener, more joyful lens.

What They Say
“The room was spacious, beautiful decorated with fun accessories and very clean. The temperature control was good too. We had a gorgeous view on the city and we loved those benches to look at the sunset. Great ambiance lighting. The bed and duvet were so comfortable. I’m not a fan of the interior window between the bedroom and the shower/toilet, even if it had a curtain it’s a little weird. I did appreciate the nespresso machine but would have loved a kettle in the room as well. The mini bar was full but we always appreciated a little space to put our own things. Maybe a heated rack in the bathroom would be a good addition as it was a little cold after a shower.”
“I had high expectations for the Treehouse Hotel, given its excellent location — just steps away from shops, restaurants, and several of London’s key landmarks. While the property was generally clean, I did notice several overlooked areas, such as dust in the corners and surfaces that required more thorough cleaning. I had booked a room for two adults and two children; however, the room allocated was extremely small for the number of guests and the rate paid. When I contacted reception to clarify, the staff member appeared surprised that four people were listed on my booking. This was disappointing, particularly since I had provided this information in the pre-arrival questionnaire and again during check-in when our entire party was present. Despite raising the issue, there was no follow-up from the hotel, which reflected poorly on customer care and attentiveness to guest concerns. In addition, the noise from the room above was very disturbing. We could clearly hear footsteps and furniture being dragged across the floor, which made it difficult to relax and sleep. Even during breakfast, noise from the a/c units was quite distracting. This suggests that the building’s sound insulation is inadequate and affects the overall guest experience. On a positive note, the hotel’s location and breakfast was fine. However, the lack of follow-up regarding the room issue, insufficient sound insulation, and limited room size were disappointing and did not meet the level of service I expected from a hotel of this standard.”
“Stayed here for 2 nights, super disappointed with the service provided. We were on the 14th floor directly under the restaurant. The room was so noisy, we got woken up at 6am from loud banging above us the first night. I called reception straight away and was assured they would look into it. I didn't receive any follow up. Happened again the second night from 4.30am and we were up at 6am for our flight home. Shower cap was not replaced after the first night, rubbish wasn't taken away. Upon checking out, we were asked at Front Desk if we wanted to give a discretionary service charge which worked out around £49. We were taken back by this, no follow up from the noise complaint, room not cleaned properly basic necessity not replaced. How can you ask for a discretionary service charge when no service has been provided. Also, before we stayed they reached out asking if we needed anything, my partner replied with a request and received no reply. So why bother ask then?! Really disappointed with the stay, not up to basic standard at all. Would not recommend. Definitely not worth the money and not a pleasant experience unfortunately.”
“The hotel does not have a gym. They require a deposit (not an authorization) on the credit card. If using a CC with a currency other than GBP, you will lose on FX. They do not provide a detailed invoice upon departure and reduce the refund arbitrarily. We’ve requested a detailed invoice and yet to receive one. Hotel does not have a gym and closest gym is the GYM which is 1KM+ away. difficult to handle luggage and no help offered.”
“It’s rare when I stay in a hotel and actually not want to leave it on vacation. My friend and I stayed here and we have had nothing but amazing things to say about the location, the staff, the amenities, everything. Even the smell was something I wish I could have taken home with me! (Please make a candle.) The hotel was insanely clean throughout and gosh, if I could have taken the bedsheets home with me, I would have. There was a night where the rooftop bar music was quite loud, making it a bit difficult to sleep as we were the floor right below it—but one phone call to the front desk had the music lowered to something manageable in maybe about a two minute period. It was so accommodating. Service like that can be unheard of nowadays! This location is also absolutely perfect and walking distance to so many places. This hotel will be my go-to next time I’m in London! Don’t hesitate to book this place.”
