What they say

We cannot thank Holly, Charlotte, Fiona and the whole team at Ballintaggart enough for the care, service, and dedication they put into making our September 2025 wedding day so dreamy and delectable. We had stayed at the farm in September 2020 on the night of our engagement. Fast forward to 5-years later and we had the most magical two-days celebrating our wedding with family from around the world. Ballintaggart Farm was the perfect setting for the relaxed, intimate, and romantic day we wanted to host with our favourite people. Being able to stay on-site made the world of difference (especially with a baby) and everything felt so comfortable, easy, and loving. Our guests gushed over the comfort of their rooms, and everyone slept very soundly…including our four-month-old! It was the most magical day. During our outdoor ceremony we were lucky enough to soak up the simple, natural beauty of Ballintaggart which we cherish. At night, the stars came out, and we danced under the milky way. Both mornings were autumnal and misty which brought their own kind of quiet magic and remain some of our favourite moments where we were together, with our wee one, soaking it all in. The team were exceptional in so many small but significant ways: from making sure fires were constantly refuelled, to reheating my food to make sure I ate (after I missed the main course whilst putting baby to bed), to helping with the floral arrangements, to ensuring some of our guests lost luggage was safely waiting for them upon arrival, to effortlessly following our schedule for the day without a query or concern, to helping signal the start of the ceremony music, to ensuring water was close-to-hand during our vigorous ceilidh dancing. They made the day stress-free in so many small but meaningful ways – going above and beyond with exceptional and thoughtful service. The food was out-of-this world and our guests have been raving about it since. The father of the groom said the monkfish was the best fish he’s had. The team were so accommodating at ensuring the menu was fully gluten-free and tailored so thoughtfully and with care to our unique tastes and needs, accommodating all our requests with ease. The cake was also a big hit, as was all the booze and the late-night cheese boards. We are currently thinking up reasons to return to Ballintaggart Farm and are eager to try-out the sauna. It will remain an incredibly special place to us, and our families, who were able to come together from many different corners of the planet to a very magical part of the Scotland.

Stayed for 2 days while celebrating a friend’s wedding. Such a beautiful spot with spotless and comfortable accommodation. Staff were excellent on the wedding day, and the service and food were excellent. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed but very foodie wedding venue.

A friend and I spent 3 days/ 2 nights at Ballintaggart farm for the residential cook school. It was an excellent experience all around. Beautiful location- we stayed at the east end cottage. Excellent food- more than we could eat! Friendly and fun staff- special shoutouts to Fiona who is actually the best, and our chef, Dereick- but all the staff were friendly and helpful. Hope to make it back someday!

This place is insanely beautiful. We only stayed at The Steading for 1 night but I wished it was a full week. Such a peaceful retreat and just what we needed. The views are incredible. By far my favorite place on our 13 day trip. Already dreaming of coming back!! The hosts are so kind also which made it that much better!! Dinner was great at The Grandtully hotel too!
