What they say
“We had the most fantastic birthday stay at The Olde Bell in Hurley and I truly cannot speak highly enough of the experience. A huge thank you to Lucy, Leah and Loretta for arranging such a wonderful stay for me and my husband. It was an absolute treat, and I’m so grateful for all the effort that went into making my birthday feel so special. We also want to say a big thank you to Pranav, Osmar and Usama, who looked after us during our stay - your service was exceptional and so genuinely warm. Our apartment was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the sound of birds singing was simply magical. Every detail felt thoughtful and relaxing. The food was outstanding - we both had steaks followed by desserts, and everything was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was just as impressive; the Eggs Royale were phenomenal! We loved absolutely everything about our stay and would highly recommend The Olde Bell to anyone looking for a special getaway. We can’t wait to return.”
“I always enjoy staying here when traveling to the outskirts of London, Maidenhead, or Marlow. The staff are extremely friendly and caring, which makes a real difference. Breakfast is very good, with both a buffet and menu options, and the dinner choices are excellent as well. There is a large private car park, which is very convenient. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable—perhaps a little dated, but still cozy and well maintained. Highly recommended!”
“Lovely location in Hurley. Beautiful village and just walk straight down to the river and enjoy a really stunning walk to Henley on Thames, around 10km each way. Fairly nice stay but something just not quite right. I don't want to put people off The Olde Bell as it really isn't bad but just little things mean it just isn't quite 'great' either. Nice friendly and polite staff but they should probably train check in guys with what to communicate as part of check in (standard stuff, rules, breakfast times etc) Nice room, although can see minors areas beginning to need a bit of TLC too. Room not cleaned very well (pics below) and although this doesn't really matter, our room wasn't turned up at all throughout our stay. Which again, doesn't really matter but just doesn't quite feel great. Breakfast is what you'd expect and done to a great standard with lots of selection. Binning the coffee machine and serve drinks would be the best improvement here. All in all, pretty and would stay again. Just minor details stopping the Olde Bell being great.”
“I,ve just enjoyed three days/two nights, via travel zoo,at this lovely period pub, where the staff, and food were 👍 great particularly the breakfast. The pub is ideally situated between Harlow, Marlow, and close to Windsor. More drawer space in the bedroom would have got 5 🌟 stars,Particular mention to Ozzie for his service, and Martin for his knowledge, interest in guests, and all things local attractions and road traffic updates.see you again .Thanks”
“We have just enjoyed a 2 night stay here and everything was superb! Staff were very polite a credit to you. Room was lovely and a wonderful cosy atmosphere in lounge/bar area. We will definitely stay here again when next in area. Thank you for Prosecco!”
