Reynoldston, Gower
Gower's Most Cherished Country Escape
Where ancient Welsh landscape meets unhurried country house grace.
Tucked into the unspoiled heart of the Gower Peninsula, Fairyhill is the kind of country house hotel that feels less like an accommodation and more like a well-kept secret. Set amid beautifully tended gardens in the village of Reynoldston, this intimate retreat offers an escape that is as restorative as it is quietly sophisticated. The surrounding landscape — rolling Welsh countryside giving way to some of Britain's most celebrated coastline — provides a backdrop that no interior designer could hope to improve upon.
Inside, Fairyhill strikes that rare balance between elegance and ease. Rooms are thoughtfully appointed without feeling overdressed, and the atmosphere throughout is one of genuine warmth rather than studied formality. It is precisely the sort of place where you find yourself lingering over breakfast far longer than intended, lulled by birdsong and the unhurried rhythm of rural life. For couples seeking meaningful time together away from the noise of modern living, it offers something increasingly precious: genuine stillness.
Beyond the gardens, the Gower beckons with its dramatic clifftops, sweeping bays, and coastal paths that reward the curious walker handsomely. Rhossili Bay — consistently ranked among Europe's finest beaches — lies within easy reach, making Fairyhill an ideal base for those who wish to balance coastal adventure with country house indulgence. It is, in every sense, a deeply considered retreat.

What They Say
“Dusty basic rooms with high end prices, stayed for one night as a wedding guest ,very dusty floor ,biscuits and crumbs on bed we were swiftly moved to another room in the attic where the beam above the bed was thick with dust we didn't complain again as we were already running late for the reception but was disappointed at the rooms to say the least and for £200 a night expected better. The grounds and downstairs were beautiful though .”
“Recently attended a wedding at this venue. The staff on site were spectacular. Rooms were comfortable but pricey for what you get. The location is in the middle of nowhere but that adds to the peace and tranquility of the venue. For a wedding it's perfect, gives an intimate feel. Plenty of space and options, it is definitely a venue worth considering”
“Our bands are always over the moon to perform at Fairyhill! The staff are absolutely amazing. So welcoming, organised, and a real pleasure to work alongside. It’s always lovely to feel part of the team, all working together to make sure each couple has the very best day and night possible. We’re truly honoured to be part of Fairyhill’s recommended supplier list for brides and grooms who want the very best live music for their wedding.”
“We were greeted by lovely and enthusiastic staff who were continuously, very polite and helpful. The people at Fairy Hill have truly allowed everyone to forget about the background processes and just relax and enjoy the wedding taking place without any worries. The food was spectacular and the breakfast was very breakfasty. The whole venue was very picturesque, it looked like something out of Love Island and it had a lovely dog and sheep statue and rope swing.”
“Absolutely amazing venue. Fantastic service, great food, clean and tidy. Rooms are first class. Nothing is too much trouble. Grounds of the venue are perfect.”
