What They Say

We had the best couple of nights at Glencoe House celebrating our 10th anniversary. Everything from the greeting by James at the door on arrival through to the thoughtful arrival gifts, ultimate comfort, privacy and good food. We stayed in suite 1 which was just outstanding. It was huge and just so cosy for the whole weekend, I couldn’t believe it. It’s perfectly located if exploring the area and also nearby Fort William, but equally the suite provided much needed calm and relaxation. We didn’t want to leave. We had breakfast both mornings in which the choice available is brilliant and we enjoyed dinner one night, which again was top quality and we eat at other places regularly. The hot tub was perfectly placed in suite 1 with the view out to kinlochleven. I loved watching the clouds lifting every morning and the darkness coming in at night. All staff encountered were friendly and professional. We were impressed with the table setting and service for dinner and breakfast too. The maxi bar is a good addition albeit we had some of our own, but was nice to have the option to purchase something to go with our dinner. I would say that the prices for the maxi bar are actually quite reasonable too. There was a Bluetooth speaker which we utilised throughout our stay. There was plenty complimentary toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, iron/iron board and water too. I don’t think I can say enough how much we enjoyed this stay and we would love to return future!

Our stay at the Hotel Glencoe was absolutely spectacular. From the very beginning, the staff made us feel so welcome – always friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. We had the chance to experience both the lodge and the suite, and each had its own charm. The lodge was very comfortable, with the added luxury of a whirlpool, which we really enjoyed. Perhaps the only suggestion would be to offer a prepared breakfast service for an even more complete experience. The suite, however, was simply incredible. The views over the lake were breathtaking, and the romantic dinner we had there was unforgettable. The mattress was a little soft for our personal taste, but everything else was truly 6-star level. We will definitely be coming back – and next time, if possible, we’ll choose the suite with a whirlpool. A truly memorable and highly recommended experience!

Glencoe House is an exceptional hotel in every way- such a unique and special experience with the in suite dining- with beautiful accommodation and wonderful, attentive, understated and genuinely welcoming service. The food is of the very highest quality, with menus often discussed with the Chef himself, the building is stunning with such fascinating history, set in the most magnificent scenery. We have returned four times now and so look forward to planning our next visit. For those seeking quiet, very private luxury in a fabulous Scottish mansion house, this fine establishment is, in our opinion the very best. Five starts does not do Glencoe House justice!

My mother and father-in-law had the pleasure of staying at Glencoe House on Saturday, 5th April 2025, and it truly exceeded all of their expectations. They were so impressed with the impeccable service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in ensuring their stay was perfect. The team were quick to share the history of the house and offered plenty of advice on exploring the beautiful surroundings and gardens. The staff went above and beyond, always eager to help, and it was clear they went the extra mile to make them feel welcome. The room they stayed in was immaculately clean, with an inviting atmosphere. The highlight was the stunning view from their room, which was truly breathtaking from every window. They also mentioned that the massive bathroom, hot tub, and their own balcony made them feel like they were living in luxury, yet the house itself created a warm, homely feeling. A memorable experience was their private dining in the room, complete with stunning views. Every course of the three-course meal was described as the most amazing food they had ever tasted, with each plate looking almost too good to eat! Their stay at Glencoe House was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of beautiful surroundings, luxurious accommodations, and top-notch service created an unforgettable experience that they wanted me to share. A special thank you to the general manager, Graham Steven, for listening and sorting everything out.
