What they say
“My husband and I just stayed here for a few nights and had the best time. The spaces are all beautifully decorated and well cared for. The service is impeccable from the front desk to the restaurant to the rooftop bar and everything in between. We were so warmly welcomed by all of the staff and enjoyed our stay so much. We really could not recommend it more! Lamplighters on the roof is so lovely for a drink - shoutout to our bartender Greg who was the sweetest and so fun to talk to. Can't wait to come back!”
“We had a lovely stay at Gleneagles Townhouse. The old bank interior is absolutely stunning and gives the place so much character from the moment you walk in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The food was delicious, with breakfast being a real highlight — fresh, well-prepared, and a great way to start the day. Drinks at the bar under the old banking hall are something everyone should experience; it’s a truly special setting. Our only complaint was with housekeeping, who accidentally threw away a couple of bags, one of which had a comb inside. Unfortunately, after contacting reception, they weren’t able to retrieve it or offer a reimbursement. Aside from this small disappointment, everything else about the stay was excellent.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Wonderful Experience at Gleneagles Townhouse I recently became a member at the Gleneagles Townhouse and have absolutely loved it so far. The gym is fantastic, the workspaces are beautiful and comfortable, and I’ve enjoyed a few relaxing drinks up at Lamplighters — it’s such a great spot. I also had the pleasure of staying in one of the rooms recently, and it was just gorgeous — elegant, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Every staff member I’ve met has been so welcoming and helpful, which really makes the experience special. I especially want to mention Eva from the turndown service, who was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, from extra waters to tea bags and coffee. Her warmth and attentiveness truly stood out and made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Gleneagles Townhouse more — it’s a beautiful place with a wonderful atmosphere and an exceptional team”
“Absolutely flawless stay. Hotel is beautifully decorated and well appointed, and the location is perfect for exploring. The biggest standout, however, was the staff. Everyone was so beyond lovely, helpful, and accommodating, which made everything so special and easy. We will certainly plan on staying again!”
“We stayed one night at Gleneagles Townhouse at the end of a long trip, and it was the perfect finale. The property has a stellar reputation, and in this case, it truly lived up to it. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. Richard welcomed us warmly at the door and immediately set the tone — gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. Patrick at the front desk was equally wonderful the next morning, ensuring every detail of our stay felt effortless. The staff throughout the hotel were not only professional but personable in a way that made the whole atmosphere feel both luxurious and human. The building itself is beautiful, with the elegant charm you’d expect from Gleneagles but in a more intimate, city setting. It’s an interesting mix — part boutique hotel, part members’ club, part co-working space — yet it all works seamlessly. You feel like you’re part of something special the moment you walk in. Dinner at The Spence were both excellent (shout-out Jay), and the space itself is stunning. Every corner of the property seems to have been designed with care and taste, down to the smallest details. I was traveling with my father-in-law, who doesn’t often visit places like this, and even he was completely won over by the warmth of the team and the comfort of the experience. All in all, Gleneagles Townhouse exceeded expectations on every level. I couldn’t recommend it more highly to anyone visiting Edinburgh — whether for a special occasion, a stopover, or simply to treat yourself.”
