Narberth, Pembrokeshire
Wales' Most Coveted Country Escape
Where Georgian grandeur meets four-rosette brilliance in the heart of Pembrokeshire.
Tucked into the rolling hills of Pembrokeshire, the Grove of Narberth is the kind of Georgian country house that makes you wonder why you ever considered leaving these islands for anywhere else. Honey-stoned and unhurried, it sits amid meadows and manicured gardens that feel worlds away from the everyday — yet every comfort has been considered with quiet, confident precision. It is little wonder this is Pembrokeshire's undisputed finest, carrying a near-perfect 4.9 out of 5 rating that speaks not to perfection on paper, but to the kind of warmth that guests feel compelled to write home about.
For those who believe that the finest travel is ultimately experienced through food, the Grove delivers something genuinely rare. The Fernery restaurant holds four AA Rosettes — a distinction shared by only a handful of properties across the entire country — and offers a dining experience that is both artfully ambitious and rooted in the exceptional produce of the Welsh landscape. For something a touch more relaxed, the Artisan Brasserie invites you to linger over seasonal plates without ceremony, a glass of something excellent in hand.
Couples in particular will find the Grove an effortless retreat: stroll the gardens at dusk, dine like royalty as night falls, and wake to the kind of stillness that genuinely restores. This is a staycation that asks nothing of you except that you arrive, exhale, and allow Pembrokeshire to do the rest.

What They Say
“Absolutely wonderful hotel and service. I cannot fault it at all. Every staff member went the extra mile to make sure our stay was magical. Perfect food, perfect setting, cozy fireplace, super luxury room. Magical. The best breakfast I've ever had too. Will definitely be going back for our special occasions”
“Fabulous Sunday lunch. Close by for us so didn’t stay and can’t comment on accommodation. However the food and service was wonderful (we don’t like a fuss as much, whereas others may prefer so), the decor and feel of the hotel is fabulous, such a lovely relaxed style with Welsh touches here and there, it feels really homely and welcoming, a credit to the interior design team.”
“My husband booked us the Daniel & Elizabeth suite for our wedding night as a surprise. Absolutely gorgeous! The roll top bath, views over the hills and gardens and the food were all amazing. We’ve been back a few times now and always just as wonderful.”
“We had a faultless stay at the Grove. We were kindly upgraded from a double room to a suite, which made our anniversary trip extra special. The room was beautiful, peaceful, and stocked with everything we would ever need. The staff were always on hand to answer any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the seven course menu at The Fernery. Every course and detail felt well thought out and took you on a journey, and the sommelier’s explanations of each one really elevated the experience. We loved it! I couldn’t recommend the Grove more. We’ll definitely be back soon!”
“Wonderful hotel with beautiful spaces everywhere you look. Lovely garden to stroll through. Incredible chefs who are very accommodating with food allergies. I have many and at each meal they printed a menu of what I could eat. For breakfast they baked special gluten free bread for me. Amazing all around.”
