Hotel was not within walking distance of the old town but a £10-13 cab ride got you there in about 10 minutes. Restaurant was good but be prepared to dress up a little. We hit a home run when we chose this hotel for our stay. Stay Golden”

“One trip has put this spot at the top of our permanent vacation spot. This hotel is absolutely above and beyond and well deserving of its 5 stars. From the moment you pull on the grounds you’re greeted with the most incredible service that pair right along with the breathtaking grounds and estate. Everyone on staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful day and night. We felt catered to in every way. The hotel itself is literally beyond description and something you cannot come to Scotland without experiencing. We even canceled plans after arriving just to have more time to enjoy all it had to offer. There’s nothing and no one here not absolutely deserving of its Michelin status. We cannot wait to come back again.”
