Great Tew, Oxfordshire
Where Cool Meets the Countryside
London's most coveted members' club, reimagined under open skies.
Tucked into the rolling Oxfordshire countryside near the picture-perfect village of Great Tew, Soho Farmhouse is the kind of place that makes you wonder why you ever bothered with a passport. Soho House's countryside flagship delivers its signature brand of effortless cool transplanted into a working farmhouse setting, where spacious timber cabins sit alongside a lake and guests drift between multiple restaurants, a world-class spa, and padel courts with the unhurried ease of people who have entirely forgotten what a Monday feels like. The cabins themselves are generously proportioned sanctuaries — think deep baths, considered interiors, and just enough rusticity to remind you where you are without sacrificing a single comfort.
The spa is the jewel in the crown, pairing traditional treatments with cutting-edge wellness technology that feels genuinely ahead of the curve rather than gimmicky. Whether you're submerging in the outdoor pool with steam rising into crisp country air or booking a treatment that draws on the latest in recovery and restoration science, the sense of being genuinely looked after is pervasive and deeply convincing. The 'teeny pools' — intimate private plunge pools — have become something of a signature, and rightly so.
For Soho House members, this is the ultimate reward for that annual fee; for families seeking a luxury escape that caters to every generation; and for wellness devotees who refuse to compromise on style, Soho Farmhouse occupies a category almost entirely its own. Book a cabin, silence your phone, and let the Oxfordshire countryside do the rest.

What They Say
“Had a delicious meal in the Japanese restaurant (Pen Yen) ordered several vegan dishes off the menu. One of the dishes we wanted had egg in so the chef made it egg free specially for our group of 3. Everything tasted so fresh and flavoursome, I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are at the farmhouse. The staff are friendly and attentive too with water topped up throughout. Had a walk around the grounds which are lovely and well maintained.. wish I could have stayed longer!! We didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the accommodation but the cabins dotted around the farm grounds look very enticing!”
“I don’t even know where to begin. I can’t thank the management team at Soho Farmhouse enough. My car was stuck deep mud in a field nearby the farmhouse. After having a fabulous evening enjoying drinks and a concert at the farmhouse, we took a wrong turning and ended up in the middle of a field. Having tried to many times to get the car unstuck ourselves and after phoning a very unhelpful RAC phone line, I phoned the farmhouse. They sent help immediately and came to our aid. They helped us get into a safe place and back to where we were staying. The next day they helped us get the car unstuck and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at one of the restaurants. I cannot thank the team enough. They went above and beyond for us. I will definitely be returning to celebrate birthdays, special occasions and to enjoy the wonderful spa facilities throughout the year (not taking anymore wrong turns). Thank you so much for making our experience amazing.”
“Visited a few months ago with a good friend who is a member and another good friend. Unfortunately the levels of pretentiousness were through the roof We where refused drinks at the bar by a highly unpleasant barman. Kids everywhere - if I wanted centre parks I would have gone to Centre Parks. On such a big site I would suggest they build a venue for those who want a lively / late evening? I just cannot think of any reason why I would return? Even if the barman hadn't been an unpleasant. Loose the kids, embrace those who want to kick back (the ones spending the money!!). My time is extremely precious and these getaways with my mates are one or twice a year, can't see myself returning.... doubt I will be missed but fine by me”
“Bit of a mixed bag. Our cabin was lovely and the wood burning fire was great. However, there were a few issues: The girl in the checkin both was very snooty and made us feel like an imposition. One of radiators wasn’t working and the tv chrome cast didn’t work either. We called and the issues were addressed eventually but this should really be checked before gusts arrive. My biggest gripe is the 4pm checkin. Given the place is so expensive surely they can afford to hire more staff to turn the rooms around quicker. If you do arrive early, the place is so overbooked you can’t even find a seat in the yard to sit 😔 I probably wouldn’t return. Just not worth the money if you ask me.”
“Soho Farmhouse is an amazing place to visit for the day or a long weekend. Went recently for the food festival and had a great time. The place has a great vibe and did not feel too crowded. Lots of different eating and drinking options and there is also a spa (requires booking). Spread over a large area there are lots of different accommodation options but they are pricey and not sure they are worth the cost. We stayed at a hotel around 20 mins away which was a fraction of the price. You need a car to get here as there is no public transport. There is also a really nice indoor outdoor pool that is warm even in cooler months as well as a gym (members only) as well as Padel and Tennis courts which again require booking. The service was great generally and food pretty standard for SH. If you have kids there is a kids area which has animals and other kid friendly acitives but be aware yoh have to either have a child membership or be staying on site to use it and this goes for the pool as well. Well worth a visit.”
